Emma's back and now Hope's gone
Well, for about 31 hours we had both of the girls on the Roberts Ranch in downtown Loganville. Emma had a blast at Kanuga, never had rain, but had loads of fun. The best time ever were the actual words.
And now for round two of Girls Gone Camping. Hope took off this morning with the rest of the tenth and eleventh grade students to Encounter. The Sharp Top Cove camp, located in Jasper, GA is where the entire Providence High School is bonding, learning love, caring and about their own personal relationship with God. This is something that Hope was looking forward to. You can see her departing from the bus and walking with her classmates to the lodge. Each day, the students will post the pictures from the day so that parents can pray for each of the them and feel as if we are there.

Hope's New Car
Well, we have moved another step forward on this wonderful journey of life. If you have not heard, we have replaced two of the three biggest parts on the Jeep and are now back to the original drive feeling of why we wanted the Jeep. But in the process, we have now gained a little red, or I should say, Hope has gained a little red thing to haul her and her sister around town. A big THANK YOU!!!! goes out to Gammy who purchased the car, saying that it is only a coincidence that the car is Jawja red. Yea right.... As you can see by the pictures, the car was placed in her assigned parking space at school without her knowing anything about it.
Robyn and Gammy, had the car washed, balloons placed around the car and backed into the parking spot. Hope and Emma were waiting in the carpool line to be picked up when word spread that someone was getting a car it looked like, with people standing around and the car with balloons. It took about five minutes for the word to reach Hope and then a little later for Emma to come over to see who it was. Hope's first statement was....." Is this a joke?" No way..... you see, we had a little talk on the way to school about trying to get the car, costs, insurance and the gas issue. With all that has happened with our family in the last few weeks, what a great blessing that Hope was able to get the car that she needed. What an AWESOME GOD we serve...... As you can see by the pictures, there was celebration.....shock and then this morning, the first drive to school by herself. As for Emma, she is headed toward Granny bear's place at Camp Kanuga in Hendersonville. She, along with her entire 7th grade class will be having a blast until Friday.
We ask that you think about her and us while she is away.
Have a fruitful day,

Jeep broken.....
Hey, one last thing. Our mechanic friend is fixing the Jeep for something new this week. Last week the transmission, this week the AC.....but he was able to provide us with a car to use during the transition. We are interested in an even swap trade, better gas mileage, just a little bit smaller ride for all four of us. If it was just two, well even I am smart enough to trade for this one.

Scarecrow Day's
From a scene out of Blazing Saddles, a small Georgia town re-creates themselves. I don't know who thought of this idea, but we have an idea it was a young blonde headed women about five and 1/2 feet tall with wooden legs. Well, that is what her scarecrow looked like. You will see her likeness along with all 4, 327 of the other town people as the Roberts family (+) one, took a ride to Hoschton yesterday. We toured the entire city looking at the creation of the new World's Record display of scarecrows. The town set out to display more than the old record of thirty three hundred. After a month and several weeks, the town is close to having 5,000. Yes, we did stop for ice cream at "Little Hooties" an icon and one of only two entertainment hotspots in this less than 1/4 mile length town. A blast was had by all, and yes, there was a scene that reminded us that we were not in Kansas anymore. See if you can find it.... For a close up view of all 4327 stick people, visit http://gallery.me.com/troberts_vp and choose Scarecrow day. You can also view the other events that have taken place the last ninety days.
